wedsport TC005 17x7&17x8

i was about to get some of these wedsport wheels they are VERY light and i happend to fancy the style of them....along with that i was going to purchase soem advan A048 tires in 255-40-17 for the rear and 235-40-17 for the front....the offests are +42mm in the rear and +40 offset in the front for the 17x7's....how do you guys think my FC will fair with this setup...im under the impression it will be a flush fit all around....but please correct me if im wrong before i spend 2200 bucks of wheels and tires...thanks!

17x7 +40 in the front is stock TII width and offset. If you think that the stock front wheels looked flush enough for your tastes then go for it. If not, i'd try to find an offset between 28~35

With those tire sizes you're MUCH better off getting 8" wide wheels for the front and 9" wide wheels for the rear. It'll be a large stretch to get those tires on those wheels.

You can probably get them on there, but the sidewalls will be pulled in quite a bit, same for 235's on 7's. A 245 is the most that's reccomended for an 8" wheel, and a 225 is the most that's reccomended for a 7" wheel (for 17" wheels and tires that are the right size for our cars). Having tires pulled in makes for worse steering feel and general feedback, it also pulls some of the tread off the road, meaning you're not getting as much grip as you could. Look up the spec sheets of the tires you're looking at and they'll have a reccomended wheel width range, and an "ideal" one. I like to be on the wide end of the spectrum, but not beyond to the point that the drift boys like to do.

A 225/45/17 fits really nicely on a 17x8, it's got nice straight sidewalls, and a 255/40/17 on a 17x9 will be similiar.
