hi again all... ok, it looks like my beloved Manaray's are going on the back burner for now, i've just been told by my source that it will take up to 12-18 weeks (!) to get the single rim i want, and waiting for this to get the car to roll again is just too damn long, it needs to roll its way into the bodyshop...

so, a local friend here in town offered me a very good deal on a set of the following, all near brand-new, w/ no rub or rash..:

Volk GT-A 17 x 8.5 x 2
Volk GT-A 17 x 9.5 x 2

...all wrapped in brand-new Advan tires (don't know the name of them, just that they look like the tires on sportbikes!). the price is very good, almost like getting all the rubber for free. and, they're available now.

what do you guys think of this wheel/tire combo? i know i'll miss my 18's, but might like these better on the lousy houston streets (even though they wont be near as eye-grabbing as the big Manaray's... are these rims "played out", to use a phrase from another thread? i'm thinking about taking these to use in the meantime, and maybe get my Manaray's back together sometime next year... any opinions on these wheels/tires would be great, thx all..!

Inform me of the price and I'll let you know if it's a good deal or not. Might help you negotiate. Get me the tire sizes, brand, and how many miles/used they look.
