Urathane bushings any good?

I did a search but I didnt really find very much.

I ordered a complete set of Energy Suspension urathane bushings from Summigracing a few days ago. The T2 which I'm putting them on has all shot bushings. all the rubber is cracked to hell, so I have to do somehting. I know you guys are most likely partial for Jim Lab's bushings, but for $90 you can't beat the Energy Suspension bushings. I think it comes with about 15-20 bushings, I should have them by Thursday if not today.

What are the pro's and con's with urathane bushings? I'm planning on AutoXing starting in a month. I dont care about squeeking or ifficulty of instalation, just the stiffness and reaction after its all done.

Do I have to get an alignment if I mark how many turbos each alignment nut and bolt is currently at?

I went with mazdamotorsports.com to get my bushings. That way it was cheaper (sorry to tell you after you already bought yours) because I ordered just what I needed. The front and rear control arm bushings plus all new bushings for the rear subframe and diff. I didn't need the sway bar bushings. They only came in black, so no pretty colors that nobody will ever see anyway. Those polyurethane boots don't really do anything as far as I can see. Don't worry about getting an alignment unless you already need one. If you've just got simple hand tools, good luck getting some of those old bushings off. Sounds like you'll really like them going by what you don't mind (which isn't really that noticable anyway).

I think that kit only comes with the front and rear control arm and sway bar bushings. you should really get the rear toe bushings to from either mazda comp or RB. those will make more of a difference.

the rear control arm bushings are a MAJOR pain in the ***.

I just ordered front control arm, rear toe, tranny mounts, and front diff mount from mazda comp. already have the motor mounts.

didn't get the sway bar ones cause I'll end up with aftermark bars later anyways. I'd love to put the rear control arm ones in but too much work.
