The Cooper Zeon is made in China. Seems like China is on an excelerated course to making high end ****.

I'm really curious about the Zeon's. However, the Fuzions are a Bridgestone tire.

Why are you buying cheap *** low end tires for your FD? Get some S03s, T1-Ss, SP9000s. If you are looking for a great deal on quality tires, I recommend the Yoko ES100s.

How many miles are on them? The test of time often tells a different story

Hankook's R compound tire is the official Spec Miata tire.

Good point Rich, except for the part about the ES100's. I didn't like them at all. In fact, I sent them back as unacceptable. I think that the Toyo T1-S is the best performance for the buck right now.

I felt that the sidewalls were too soft, and they lacked good dry grip. I didn't test them for performance in the rain because I don't drive fast on wet roads. Before the ES100, I had Bridgestone 730's. I liked them, but they were noisy. The ES100's were a big dissapointment after removing my bald 730's. I now have the Bridgestone 750's. I am pretty happy with them after more than a year. If I had known that the T1-S was available at the same price, I would have gone with the T1-S.

Hope that helps, Adam

He is speaking of a different application-----a high powered modded FD. I think they will be more than sufficient for your droptop.

Yeah, we're on the same sheet of music here. I figured if Batman really just *had* to put a lower-tier tire on his FD, the es100s were a good choice.

Rich,

My reference about the sidewalls being too soft, and lack of grip, was for cornering. The car just felt a bit more "slippery" with the ES100's. That would apply to the FC as well.

If ES100 is soft sidewall, then Kumho MX would be a gelatin.

I am using Fuzion ZRi with 245/45/16 size, it has stiffer wall than the MX at 225/50/16(MX don't have 245 sizes).
the contact patch(section width) for ZRi is much smaller than other 245s.

I have used both for drifting, so far MX is definitely not good. ES100 is decent and looks like the ZRi will last longer.

How much did you get the ZRi thru your hookup? I am looking to buy another pair.
