Tire/Rim Combo ?

I am planning on getting some new rims and tires for my fd. I've been looking at Enkei RP03 17-8 offset 48 5x114.3 first off would those rims fit. Second i've been looking at yokohama avs sport 255/40/17 tires. Would this set up that i want to go with fit??

The tire size is not the best for an 8" wide wheel. If you want a 255/40 then I'd suggest at least an 8.5" wide wheel. The wider tire will only be advantageous if used on the correct width wheel, unless used for low tire pressure, drag racing. IMO.

Take a look the the tire manufacturer specs and see what wheel widths they recommend. Unforunately it doesn't look like the make an ideal offset for the FD in 8.5". However this should work with a 245/40/17. This would be my recommendation over the 255/40/17. It's commonly seen that a 245/40/17 will be recommended for an 8" wide wheel. So either way, it's recommended to run the 245 for what options you have.

Always double check with the tire manufacturer's specs to be certain.
