Tie Rod Problems

Guys, I hit a curb the other day. I bent the lower control arm, tie rod, and shock (all driver's side). I took off the control arm, replaced it. Took out the shock, replaced it. Took off the tie rod end from the hub assembly, but cant seem to take out the long rod from the steering rack. I have no idea how to remove it. I keep turning it and nothing happens. There is a boot there, and I cant see anything that is holding the rod. PLEASE HELP!!!!

TIA,
ALI

If it's anything like the FC steering rack...

The boot needs to come off.
You might destroy it removing the boot.
Underneath there's a joint which can be accessed with a large wrench.
Remove that and it unthreads off the rest of the rack.
