I wanted to get the BBS RSII's but weighed It out. To pricy and are quite heavy. I still like the look of BBS RSII rims so I'm opting to go with the Konig Imagines, In Silver. Do you think the rims are heavy for 17 x 7? What are your regards on these rims?

7 is kinda narrow. stock is 16 x 8. otherwise looks okay.

Even for an FC that is quite narrow. You'll need to look for an offset of +35 or so.

When this issue comes about I suggest staggeriing 17" and 18". This will allow you to get an 18,8 or 8.5 in the rear and the 7" will be fine up front. Then run a 215/45/17 and 235/40/18.

My 88 GXL Is 1999 Mazda Miata Highlight Metallic Silver. I have B&G Lowering Springs on that lower my car 1.5". So I have to consider that Into the equation aswell.

I am dead set on getting 17' rims on all 4 ends. I currently have 16' Anterra's at 205/55/16. Although the wheel wells filled considerably, I want 17's all around. I was thinking 215/45/17 (front) 225/45/17 (rear).

What do you think? Is that a good preportion? I'm concerned about narrowness now. (Good point guys). How does my potential setup look to be?

If you end up going with a set of Konig Imagine wheel I have a set for sale. 17x7, 5x114.3. They don't have any flaws whatsoever. They were on the car for 3,000 miles. Thanks.

5x114.3 is the lug pattern. You have 5 lugs with a spread of 114.3 between them. Thanks.

The way I would highly recommend doing this on the FC to have a good setup is to go with the 17,7's up front and the 18,8.5's in the rear.

Then you should run a 215/45/17 and 245/35/18. This combination would be great. Plus you'll have the proper stagger effect.

I run staggered diameters on all my FC's for street and show. They work great. It's really the only way to get a good looking fitment with knockoffs.

Kind of everything. The 17,7 in the rear would have looked like it sat in the fender about two inches. with the 18's back there it will look like a proper fit.

Oh I'm talking pure aesthetics and by following the patterns in the "knockoff" industry this is virtually the only way to acheive a good staggered fitment. Fortunately, a staggered 17, 18 combo is becoming of the FC.

Cheers you are totally right in the handling department, but unfortunately it's very difficult to get that combo in comparison to finding staggered width from 17 to 18 diameters.

He chose the imagines and being that it is a gorgeous style, Enkei Aegis knockoff, I looked into it previously and came to the conclusion that if I were to use this wheel that's what I would have to do. Otherwise it just doesn't work too good.

In my opinion the best bang for buck in the wheel performance dept is the FD wheel on the FC or another lightweight wheel that's 8 - 8.5" wide. Like the Kosei K1. 16,7.5 and 8.5. That would be great.

Actually, I think the Konig Imagines are a supposed to replicate the Work Rezax IIs.

Also, I wouldn't spend the money on Konig's "Black Opal" finish. It is hardly any darker than the silver finish and doesn't really look anything like what advertisements show. Save yourself the money or have them finished somewhere else once you get them.

I do plan on getting the Silver's. Not the Black Opal's. I do agree, very little diffence In contrast.

With the suggested, 215/45/17 and 245/35/18 for my FC, would their be compromise In handling? Surely your setup Is definetly a good one In terms of asthetics but handling Is just as much considered for me before I'm a go on theses rims. What do think? Also, keep In mind my car had B&G Lowering Springs that has dropped my car 1.5 Inches.

I like them I agree don't get the black opal finish.
as for weight, I got them in 17x7's with 205/45/17 Toyo RA-1's
and ended up being 2 pounds lighter than my old Eneki RSE 16x7's with 205/45/16 Nitto 555R's
they are a bit to keep clean, the bolt holes always hold dirty water and after a wash they seep and you need to clean them again.

The handling will be great. I currently run a 17,8 and 18,9.5 with 225's and 255's. I love the handling. It looks and handles. Great for the street. 17's staggered in the same wheel would be lighter and you'll have a little more sidewall as well. This will help in the handling of the vehicle.

You will like the Imagines.....i have a set also.....18s all the way....runnin 215/35 up front and 245/40 in rear next set of tires i might go with 225/40 f and 255/35 r

Hey Rishie, you suggested an offset of 35 or greater. 38 Is what the Imagines offer. Under the link, It suggests the possible Tire uses and It does not list any 245's as an option.

Am I looking at It all wrong or can you fit 245/35/18 on 18x8.5 rims with an offset of 38? This, right now, Is whats seperating me from getting these rims. Hope to hear from you soon.
