YES!

one ? tho, is it a daily driver or more of a toy?

cuz if its a DD, go w/ 17s, the side wall height will still give u some extra cushion, and suck up big bumps better than 18s, tires wont be as expensive as the 17s either.

the 18s will be TIGHT YO. but, if u hit ANY kind of pot hole or big bump...be prepared to order a new rim.

and the bigger the rim is, the BIGGER youre tire-to-fender gap will SEEM. i have 14s on my car 195s in the front, 215s in the back, and the tuck SOOO nice, complete w/ Negative Camber and Everything.

so, the bigger the wheel u get, the MORE important it is to lower ur ride, AT lease one inch, maybe 2. make sure u get the back spacing right so that when u lower it, the tires wont chew up the side walls (my friends' 69 GTO, 67 Cougar XR7, and 79 camaro all had that prob)

if u dont lower, itll look like the NEW style mustang GTs...w/ the 16s, and some kinda BIG *** fender gap, NOSE high vehicle stance.

go to the web page, and look at the pics of the Subaru, those are 17s w/ the original ride height, look at how noticible the fender gap gets to be. then scroll down and checkout the 7, its got a nicer stance to it (only lowered in the front, 2", no rub) a little better tuck, and obviously some phat negative camber!)

the coolest thing, is to get your wheels to TUCK up INside ur fender wells, instead of just soaking up the gap. itll be so sweet, youll cream ur pants. lol j/j

have fun
chris

Thanks for the help.... I guess I will stay with the 17s I really don't want to get too big. How much does it cost to lower the car an inch?

Thanks..
