Tack your Ball joints

A couple of months back I rebuild the front end on my FB. Among the new parts were new ball joints which were pressed into the control arms by a local shop. I have noticed that many have talked about tack welding their ball joints after pressing them in. Tonight I was breaking in new Porterfield pads and shoes when at the end of my road session my drivers side ball joint popped out. Due to my lower speed it seems nothing has sheered and I did not loose control. Although I will miss this weekend of racing, I am thankful it did not happen while racing. I hope everyone now takes tacking in ball joints seriously.
