Swaybar parts

I just got my Widefoot mount in the mail. Worth every penny. Very well machined and well made. Even comes with metric grade 12.9 bolts (in other words, very good forged bolts)

Racing beat front sway. The swaybar is big and heavy. I snapped the endlink bolt Racing beat supplied after driving around for 10 minutes. I hate to think what would happen if it happened on the track. DO NOT use the cheap a$$ bolt they supply. It is very likely lower that a metric grade 8.8 bolt (Equavilent to SAE 5). Go out there and buy your own partial thread bolt the size is M10x1.25x55 in a metric grade of at least 10.9. I swear, the stuff that racing beat makes is junk, they keep using cheap material to cut corners.

Tanabe front swaybar, smaller than the racing beat, similar price. Diammeter is about 114mm is made from hollow chromoly according to tanabe. Good bar, the car is much more neutral with this that the freaking oversize racing beat bar.

Er. I mean 1.14 inches. Roughly. I don't have the proper tools to measure it precisely.

Hi Jabberwocky,
Glad you like the Widefoot Mounts! The bolts are overkill (10.9's would be
fine), but no worries about them breaking. ;-)

BTW, I agree that a 114mm front bar would be a little much - sort of a reverse
DeDion suspension! 1.14" sounds better. At least your mounts would take
it (but not the frame rails...).

32mm solid bar. It's like taking the superb double wishbone front suspension and welding an I-beam across it.
