Suspension Questions
I am NEVER EVER EVER buying a pre-modified car again. Period. This is rediculous.
That's what I get for not researching it I guess.
Anyway,
There's Eibach springs installed. The numbers on them read:
37/98
5513.101
is the first set of numbers ride height?
what is the 2nd? I have no idea what to make of this.
what springs are these does anybody know? i can't find info on them based off of those numbers.
My shocks are KYB GR-2. Not the greatest in the world but the car sure rode stiff.
attached is a pic of Right-Front.
will it be safe for me to remove the springs by myself? I got to thiking that even when jacked up they're under tension, if it were to snap while I was unbolting it from the eng. compartment... BAM! ow...

I just got those exact springs today...
.....on Koni yellows!
The person I bought mine from said they lower .8 of an inch and have a progressive spring rate from 90 to 160. Stock is 90. What info I have been able to find corroborates this! I'll know better when I install them tomorrow.
Anyone else know more???
Mike

I would suggest calling Eibach directly to find out their specs, I don't know.
However, regarding removing them.
Yes, you can drop the strut/shocks out from the car, the spring is attached to the strut itself. However, removing the spring FROM the strut, once you have it out of the car, requires a spring compressor to do correctly.
