Suspension Question (FD3S)

My 93 RX-7 had been sitting in my garage for a couple years. I would spin it up and drive it around the neighborhood, but never took out on the open road. I recently started driving it. Every time I hit a bump, the car bounces. On some bumps I end up hitting my head or the tires actually come off the ground, and skid when traction is made again. I took it to a local mechanic and he wasn't sure if it was the springs or the struts. He said all looked well. Any suggestions?

The shock is there to "dampen" the bouncing of the suspension. If the car hits a bump and continues to bounce around rather than settling down, the shocks (not struts) need to be replaced.

try taking it to an experienced rotary shop to have them check it out. There are more than a few in Florida. Pettit Racing being one of them.
