Suspension question

Suspension question
So I'm currently facing a dilemma on purchasing basic struts or coilovers. I'm interested in buying either a Greddy Type S Coilover system or a HKS Hipermax III Sport Coilover system. I'm building up my FD and I use it for street use only. Not planning on going to the track any time soon. Maybe some strip shoots once in a while. Since I live in the Tri-State Area ( NY), I have two main factors in making my decision. First one being Potholes and second one being the harsh NY winters. I'm looking to get something that will last me a while and also I'm looking to switch between stock and aftermarket wheels between cold and warm weathers. I like that most coilovers are adjustable and have many more settings than regular struts. I've been seeing many FD owners with Koni and Tokico struts and have been told that they are recommended especially for city streets. I wouldn't mind saving some money as I know that these setups are cheaper than Coilover setups. Does anyone use either Koni and Tokico struts and switches wheels more than once a year? If so, is it difficult, annoying, or not recommended to have/do?Also what springs do you pair up with these struts? Please your feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Switching wheels should cause you no problems and is obviously very straight forward.
As you know, coilovers will have the added benefits of height and stiffness adjutability.
If given the option id go with the coil over setup (i have hks hypermax)as you can tune the stiffness and ride height to your prefered setting. (perhaps slighty higher ride height and softer in the winter along with your winter tyres?)
I dont drive in the snow here so dont know if the above is what people do in winter but just an example...

You bumped your thread an hour after posting? Next time try searching.
Use some paragraphs for crissakes too. Pita to read your post.
I used to live in Queens and have mentioned this before in other threads. If you drive the car in any of the boroughs, skip coilovers. If your shocks are in good shape, low mileage, put some springs on to lower it a bit and decrease body roll and you're set. Otherwise, get some Konis and whatever springs float your boat. I kinda like the Tein H-Tech for springs.
The Konis have adjustable spring perches which also allow you to set ride height a bit. For a while I drove on Konis with stock springs and set the perches in the middle for some mild lowering. I don't mean to be a dick but I have posted this before so if you want more feedback on the topic, search on my user name. I don't feel like retyping what I've said in the past.
You can buy Konis at shox.com

lol, yeah man I bumped after an hour not even. Got in my RX7 Parts search project mode and needed answers right away. Next time I will search for sure. Also paragraphs really? Am I writing an essay for English class right now? It's cool though, I understand it's easier on the eyes to read. Jokes aside guys I really appreciate the help and your opinions. Till next time!

I have the koni's with some sport springs, works well for me. Roads here in northern CA aren't paarticularly great either. I set the shocks full soft for street use, and nearer to firmest for autocross. And, yes, I change wheels a lot - this works just like on a stock suspension. I also hear good things about bilsteins, but I like my **** to vary firmness.
