The biggest difference will come with new shocks and springs - most FC's I've seen with stock suspension had shocks that were TOTALLY blown out.

The strut tower brace will help, but the shocks and springs are the fundamental part of the suspension - if it's blown out and crappy, fancy things like swaybars really won't do much as they would with good shocks/springs.

They're pricey, but definitely the place to start. You'd be surprised at the difference it makes!

http://www.k2rd.com has KYB AGX shocks for $355 a set - you can't beat that, and those are first-class adjustable shocks.
