Suspension -- bushing? struts?

Seems like I have a lot of 'slop' in my suspension... For example I can push down on the front of my car and feel a "soft" area of about 1 inch, and then pull it back up that same amount...

Do you suppose I should start w/ the cheaper route of replacing all of my bushings? I've been eyeing the Energy Suspensions master bushing kit. It's looking pretty attractive at <$100 for the master kit of poly bushings.

Struts/shocks/springs are in my future plans, but need to save a few $$ before I do all of that (as I'd prefer to do everything at once).

Car hit 200k mi today on the way to work, so obviously things are worn out there, just not sure what I should start with?

Any comments on the master kit from E.S.? good/bad?
Thanks!!
