Sorry for the ignorant question
I was talking to my dad today about my new suspension set up and I said struts. He was like, "don't you mean shocks?" Well I looked on a few sites, Jason calls then struts, racing beat calls them shocks. What is the difference or are they the same thing?

The FD has four shocks. Struts are found in macpherson strut suspensions, like the front of the FC and many other cars. This distinction is often disregarded, and they are both dampers anyway.
