Steering rack relocation?I didnt know where else to post this.

Hey i was just wondering how could relocate a steering rack on a car and compensate for its movement?Whether it be up,down, or forward.

Say i wanted to push a steering rack forward,so you could lower an engine in your car closer to the ground? But the rack is in the way,so if you move it forward, how would you compensate for its travel?

In this particular case you would move the tie rod end on the front upright an equal amount forward to preserve the stock geometry. On the other hand, the stock geometry may not be something you wish to keep depending on the car Moving the steering rack is going to effect the bumpsteer of the car; whether good or bad you can't say until you know what the ackerman and bump geometries were before you started.
