SSR SP1 18x10 all around - FC ! (pics)

yup. finally got some sunny weather up here and took some quick pics of the car on the new wheels and tires...
if ya dont know the car, here's the recap-
SSR SP1 in 18x10 all around, +24 rear, +24 front (effective +10 front after spacer)
Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 in 285/30r18 front, 295/30r18 rear.
30mm rear over fenders and Tripoint replica front fenders, something like 65mm wider
Mazdaspeed rear single camber adjuster arm
Tein Flex coilovers on this '87 Sport FC and yes it is dumped, I like it.

hot damn, with a fresh coat of satin black this car is going to be SIIIICK. I want to make a front lip and splitter of some sort because to me it looks goofy with just sidekirts on it.

pretty sweet....nice $1400 in tires!

BTW, I'm confused why you didn't just go 285/30 all around so you could rotate.

I guess I coould have, but, uh, I didnt. I figure the tires will age faster than wear out, I dont have time to go to a lot of events this year.

So when are we gonna see that thing at a FLR event? Your old 240 is looking pretty good these days too.

NICE. It looks really tough.

I would say for a "real" paint job, spray it black and then a matte clearcoat. That would look really nice. It'd be like what you have just a lot more... "finished" looking.

Or whatever... what do you have planned for a paint job?

DAMMIT!!!

NOTE TO ALL DRIFT0Rz, THat is a prime example on how to properly fit wide wheels all around with properly sized tires.

You sir have good taste.

I could care less if any of tire stretchers wanna box me!

Nice job! That car looks bad *** now and will certainly eat up the twisties.

If you are interested in some 285/30/18 Hoosier R3S04's I have a set for sale new. $600 for all (4).

I'll second the comment on dumb asses that stretch a small tire on a rim that is too wide. Waste of $$$. Next step is having your seats recovered in Hello Kitty fabric/logos to match those lame wheels/tires.

lol
thanks guys!
the most likely paint job for '07 is a professional gun DIY respray in flat or matte black, nothing even close to a real paint shops $4000 super duper clearcoated like-new-oem job, but at least the car would look 10x better. someday I'd like to get it professionally painted a very dark silver/gunmetal, that would be awesome, maybe even paintmatching the centers of the wheels too.

I washed it last night and am heading to the local car meet tonight so I hope to get some better pics of it from my buds with digital SLRs, those are sick cameras.

omfg with these beefity tires I want to get this to watkins glen for an HPDE asap!
