Ssr Gt7

Anyone seen the new SSR GT7 wheels on an RX7?
I was interested in the SSR comps 18x9.5 with a 50mm offset for all four sides. I dont necessarily like the look of the comps but they are light and I can put the 9.5" on all four sides. Recently SSR introduced the GT7, which is also supposed to be a lightweight wheel. I like the look of the GT7 more then the comps so I talked to a wheel rep at tire rack about them. I was told that the GT7 is available in 18x9.5 for the rx7 and that although it is alittle heavier then the comps it is still a very light wheel. I was told that the 18x9.5 GT7 weighs 18.5lbs.
I may opt for this wheel but I never seen it in person or mounted on an rx7. Anyone seen this wheel yet. Here is a link to a picture.

peter,
After researching your old post I do agree that the GT7s look like the Prodrives. I do like the SSRs machined lip and grey centers better then the Prodrives solid colors. NSX or not, I like the wheel.

No, the Comps look better than the GT7s.

BTW, these SSR GT7s look similar to Buddy Club P1s.

I'm wondering about the correlation myself.
Wondering if the Prodrive is made by SSR since their other wheels are made by other companies.

mike (or anyone else),
did you run these gt7's with +50mm all around?
sound like it would be a good racing set with 285/30/18's.
anyone have feedback?
how much do these GT7's cost at tirerack? i can't find a price on them because when i look up rx7, the 18x9.5's aren't listed.
thanks.

I run these tires. With 265/35 PS2s they weight about 45lbs per corner, about 2-3 lbs. heavier than my CCW 18x10 with 285/30 PSCups. Not bad for a street tire, and IMHO they look sharp:

They fit with no rubbing issues, but as many have stated before, roll your fenders especially if you like to run your suspension low.

I bought them a while ago but if memory serves they are about $400 per wheel in 18x9.5 +50.

awesome
would 285's fit on them with no issues as well?
so if they are $400 a pop, are the wider CCW's only $100 more per wheel?
i might look for the SSR's used and then sell my staggered SSR comps.

Nice to see wheels with the correct offset for a change, wish there were more available out there (especially in 17").
