SSR Comps on Silver FD?

Anyone have pics of this setup? How easily do these wheels break?

Those are SSR Intergrals, not comps. But thanks for the pic! (added to my collection now)

My friend has them on his Silver E36 m3. they look great on silver cars.

It seems like they just have an inordinate number of "lemon" wheels. I'm going to try finding a place that will give me a warranty of some sort so I don't get screwed in the first two days.

I have both the Comps and the Integrals. I use the Comps for drivers education events (track), and Integrals for road. Great combination. Both wheels look great on a red FD as well!

FWIW, I always run over the rumble strips (alligator strips) when I clip an apex, and when I track out--I have not had any bending problems with the Comps, and that's with really stiff sidewalled Hoosier R3S03s (245/45-17 and 275/40-17)!

I honestly think the bending problems with SSR Comps are being overstated.

I just need another set for auto-x tires, but I'm thinking that the SSRs will get road use for a while until I'm ready to move into Street Prepared. SleepR1, do you ever do any IndySCCA auto-x?

Yep...I'm doing one next weekend in Walesboro IN (south of Columbus) http://www.cscc-scca.org/

I sold my SSR Comps/Hoosiers to Jaymz (he's picking them up next weekend), so I'll have my 9 x 17, 45-mm offset SSR Integral A2s with 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS Intermediates for either Saturday (or Sunday).

The Walesboro IN site is very hard on race tires anyway, with a lot of loose gravel (marbles) around. Jack Tovey, rolled his E36 M3 Lightweight at the Walesboro site, back in 2000!

I've also autocrossed at the Indy 16th St site (the old Bush Stadium lot). Very short course, and the light poles make me nervous.

I really miss the old Columbus airport site--huge open practice area for big rigs. That site was the SH*T!

Vintage Red R1 running is ASP (even with my '99 Type RS brake upgrade).
