Spring Rate of Apexi N1 Pro Coilover?
Does anyone know what the rates of these coilovers are?
I've been running these for a few months now and they are extremely uncomfortable on rough roads. On the highway and around corners they are brilliant however.
Also would swapping in springs that have a lower rates make things more comfortable?

Just one more question, if I wanted to buy springs for my coilovers, can I simply buy say the Eibach Pro kit or do I need springs specifically for coilovers?

They'd have to be made for coilovers. You have to measure what length you need, find out what diameter of the coil, and then figure out what spring rate you want. Of course if you change your spring rates from what you already have, you'd need new valving of your strut.
N1 Pro's came with 12 kg/mm springs F and R.
I have these on my car and I agree they are pretty hardcore.
I have not looked around for replacement springs given the little use the car gets, but I imagine this could be done quite easily.
Needless to say, make sure you get the proper diameter and length spring.

12 kg is 756 lbs per inch. each corner of the fd weighs approx 725. after allowing for the motion ratio that means your suspension is locked at less than 2 inches of travel. my ideal rate, which i run, is 8 (432) front and 6 (378) rear. stock is 263/195.
you will want about 20-25% softer in the rear.
since your shocks are adj you should have no problem softening them up. i would run close to full soft rear and 25% from full soft front.
you should be able to buy softer springs. as an earlier poster indicated... measure them and make some calls.
