Sorry guys, another "Offset" thread :(

Hey guys, i have been looking at my options for wheels again and i found another offset that "MIGHT" work. 18x8.5/+35 offset. I'm already have tokico 5 way adj. shocks and I am going to go with either Rs*R springs (447 front/391 back/.4" drop all around) or H&R progressive springs (don't know spring rates/1.5"drop all around).

Sorry for so many threads like this but it looks like i'm going to go ahead and throw some rims on the car soon. Thanks again -Clayton T.

Damnit; okay thanks. I remember hearing that 18x8.5 with a +37 offset would work so i thought . . . . but i thought wrong.

I posted this in another thread yesterday, but I'll post it again for you as a reference point. I had 8.5" wheels in a +37 offset, 245/40-17, w/ Bilstein/H&R Sport Springs and had no rubbing issues. The person I bought my wheels from (also an FD owner) had no rubbing issues either. Another forum member has the same suspension setup, but with narrower wheels and tires (8", 235/40), a higher offset (+40) and ended up pulling and damaging a fender. The wheels you're considering are right on the bleeding edge on what might fit, and to be on the safe side, I just wouldn't recommend them.

Yeah, i remember reading that thread and hearing you had H&R's. I'm leaning towards the RsR race springs now with high spring rates and it sit's a bit higher; I'd also roll the fenders BUT since you don't recommend them i think i'll just have to keep looking. Thanks S.K.

A lot depends on the sidewall design and "actual" section width of the tires you are using. As reference on 8.5" typically a +40 is the low standard for a stock fender.
