Should i trust tires that have been sitting for along period of time incorrectly?

Just recieved a 86 GXL that had been sitting in garage for about 6-7 years. All the tires were near flat. I put air in the tires the day i got the car and they are still holding 4 days strong. No major cracks, none you can really see. Has tred on tires and they are radial tires. Going to drive it around the house to see how they hold and see if they fall apart. Anyone else got an opionion? Planning to change tires and rims in future but i hope these will last till i get the car on the road and running strong.

The rubber will be much harder than when new and it's dried out some. There could well be internal cracking that you can't see that could lead to a sudden blowout.

Get new tires.

I trusted some old tires on my 80 last year, they just started spliting apart after only a couple hundred miles. If you do run them for a little while just keep your speed down-also that looks like a really clean GXL, my beat up one is the same color.
