shipped some wheels today, 210lbs WOW!!!

I shipped out a set of 18" Racing Hart C5's

18x9.5
18x8.5
225/40
265/35

210lbs for all 4 wheels

The rear wheels were about 55lb each. Do tires weigh that much? I figure the wheels are about 30lbs at most.

Umm...

Ya know..I wouldn't mind the extra weight...you can ship them to me.

Nice bud...RH C5's shouldn't be too bad...they're usually quite lightweight.

I still would like some Volk TE37ks..but I'm not rich.

Yeah tires can weigh a ton. Depending on brand/size the can be up to 25-30lbs a tire.

check out that thread I wrote along time ago. That was when I shipped out some 18" TE37's I sold. They were 190lbs. Now why does everyone think Te37's are so awesome because they are so light? That's only 20lbs lighter than some heavy *** C5's.

I'm thinking some tire company should come out with some lightweight high performace tires. Some TE37's and lightweight tires and now we're talking shaving some rotating weight

22 lbs is a pretty big difference in wheel+tire weight (5.5 lbs per wheel). The C5s probably aren't that heavy compared to some of the other wheels on the market (are they?), so that might be the difference between light and moderately light wheels. TE37s are awesome, light wheels .

My 18x10" CCWs with 285/30-18 BFG R1A tires were 186 lbs new and 183 lbs after a few events (all four). The tires were about 24 lbs each, new. The TE37s wheels are probably a few pounds lighter than the CCWs, so perhaps you had some heavy tires. Tire weights can vary quite a bit, so perhaps we should start a "tire weight" thread, too.

Arent Hoiser's roar race slicks pretty damn lightwieght (due to the nylon belts) as far as tires go?

Tires can be VERY heavy. The nice thing about TE-37's isnt just the weight, they are suppose to be VERY strong as well.
