Question searched. Putting metal studs on all season tires

ok I've tried searching google but no luck.

I have a set of stock wheels with all season tires in good shape, I want to put metal studs on them like snow tires. has anyone done this before or is it a bad idea. These would only be for snow weather not summer. I have summer tires already. Or should I sale these tires and buy some used snow tires of craigslist?

your opinion please.

check your bylaws..some states do not allow studded tires as they rip up the asphalt.

I work at Les Schwab and we only stud tires that either
A. Come pre-drilled for studs and are brand new and NEVER DRIVEN ON
B. Some snow/ice tires are drillable, but ONLY if they have never been driven on.

Do not stud all season tires, they will ruin the tires and they are not ment for studs.
