safe using shortened bolt pattern?

probably a dumb question, but I'm a bit of a newb at this. I came across a set of aluminium Minilites that are originally 4x110. They fit on my 1982 RX-7, but the bolt holes are ovaled in a little, maybe someone tried to make them fit a 4x108, definitely not 4x100.

Anyway, would it be safe to use in the original 4x110. Or would the lugs slip and I get a wobbly ride?

I personally would not use them as the applied stress might cause failure due to the alterarion.

I was thinking that.

However, I forgot to mention that these wheels use shank nuts with washers. If the washer is wide enough to cover most of that 1mm gap, does that change the situation since the washer is what holds the wheel to the car?

I'll ask around some shops.
