i've had good luck so far with the local costco. i too have bought a new set of bridgestones for my car, same $80 off deal. 225/50 16s all around, they are the bridgestone re750s.
a while back i also had a set that i bought from them for my 02 wrx. i bought the all season bfgoodrich t/a kdws for the occasional tahoe trips. free rotation and balance is a plus for costco, i rotate my tires on the wrx every 5k miles, have 20kmiles+ on them with good tread left.
a lot of people are buying 245/45s for the stock 16s. maybe i should have done the same, but aren't the stock sized tires 225/50s? 245/45s handle that much better?

The 245/45/16 tires are the same height as the stock size, but are a little wider. They fit fine. No rubbing.
How much did you pay for the 750's at costco? I got them from the tire rack (245's) for $123 each. Mounting, bal, and shipping was extra.

4x 225/50s re750s from cost totaled to $47X.XX (comes out to ~$120 a tire). but, this included: shipping, mounting, balancing and free tire rotation and balancing for the life of the tire.

damn i think i shouldve gotten some 245/45s now since i was buying new tires. i'm a noob when it comes to tire/suspension/brakes stuff. just recently started checking out the 'suspensoin/wheels/tire/brakes' section. i usually spend my time at the 3rd gen, kills, west, and classifieds. o well, live and learn.
245/45s make a big diff in handling over the 225/50s?

BTW, I got my S-03s (P245/35-19, P285/30-19) for just over $1,000 shipped from Tire Rack. There aren't that many choices for 19" wheels, unfortunately.

Toyo tires are narrower in the same size than other brands. My 235/40s, for example, are not any wider than my 225/50 Dunlop SP8000s.
