RX-8 Rotor/Caliper on FD?

Is this something that is possible. Looks like the RX-8 brakes works very well. Is it better than even the 99+ RZ FD brakes?
If its better, then would it fit on FD?

I tried to search here, but didn't find anyone who fitted one.

i dont really see how the rx8 brakes can be better than the 99+ rz brakes, only because it isnt a multi 'piston caliper (please correct me if im wrong but they dont look like multis to me) the pads dont have even contact with the rotor... and uhh... isnt the 99+ rz's bigger in diameter and thickness rotor wise? thats better heat dissapation...., and more surface area for the pads to cause friction.

then again i am just looking at it, without really knowing the rx8 braking system... nor the 99+rz... aka i think i just post whored!

I don't know.
Brakes looks bigger in diameter. Piston is similar to FD 4 piston pot.
And two piston in the rear I think.

Braking wise, it broke much better for heavier car on skinnier tire...
I think modulation and brake feel is much better as well. Maybe due to larger master...

So if anyone has any ideas...

rx8 is a larger rotor (all the way around) caliper in the front is a 2 piston floating deal. its not as cool, but it seems to work much better than the fd setup

That would be a downgrade IMO. The FD has 4 piston calipers in the front, changing them out to RX8 units would be pointless, plus the fact that the calipers themselves might not even bolt up to the knuckle.

If you want to upgrade your FD's braking system, go with bigger rotors, SS lines, etc.

You can buy mine reza. hehe I have a set of extra calipers.

I don't know if mounting points are same but I can compare it to the caliper bracket from a FD BBK i have in stock. Then you'll just have to worry about the "offset" of the rotor.
