I want to upgrade my spring but can't seem to decide on which way to go. I have stock wheels and stock shocks right now. I know everyone loves the eibachs but I don't like the 1 plus inch drop. Would these out the stock shocks too?

 

I would recommend replacing the shocks with something aftermarket with the Race springs. They are fairly stiff. IIRC the Down springs weren't nearly as stiff which should work fine on the stock shocks.

However, depending on what mileage you have on your stock shocks; it may be a good idea to bite the bullet and replace them at the same time. It's the same labor to change springs as it is to change shocks so you should do them at the same time.

 

I have the downsprings in stock on clearance and the race springs are on backorder, lord knows how long they will take to receive. Last time I waited over 6 months.

I have RSR Down springs. It's similar to H&R race springs. With RSR Down springs, my car sits 1/2 in higher than H&R. As far as performance, I am very satisfied. They are not too rough like the h&r race springs, but firm enough for me to have a fun on a mountain road. I've also noticed that with RSR Down springs, my suspension have more strokes compared to h&r springs. ** I do not track my car, nor drive like a pro. I'm just ordinary person that enjoy driving in the twisty roads occasionally.

I've replaced my shocks to tokico 5 way adjustables upon replacing the springs. I would recommend you to replace your shocks.
