RPF1 Fitment on FC
RPF1 Fitment on FC
Hey guys! I posted this recently in the new member section and got no reply. Hopefully it goes better here! I am thinking of getting some Enkei RPF1's for my 1991 NA FC. I want to get 16x7 in the front and 16x8 in the rear. My question is which insets I should go for. The 16x7's come with 30, 35, and 43. The 16x8's only come in 38. Also what size tires will give me the best fitment? I am basically just trying to fill the wells a bit more than the factory wheels. Thanks in advance!
If you want to fill the wheel wells more than the factory wheels, none of the sizes you listed will accomplish that to any substantial degree. Also, all the RPF1's in widths less than 9" will have spokes bowed outward (if that's something you don't want).
Check out this thread which should give you an idea on looks and fitment.

17x8 F and 17x9 R with +35 all around. Perfect fit, IMO. No roll, no pull, no rub. Tires were 235/40 up front and 255/40 on the rear Toyo R1Rs. Those tires aren't the best if you're commuting though. For a daily driver, I recommend checking out Falken Azenis, which are STLL some of the best bang-for-the-buck tires you can buy.
Like 90FC mentioned, anything wider than an 8" RPF1 will have less clearance for a big brake kit because the spokes are more sunken in.
