rpf1 17 or 18

undecided on 17inch or 18inch rims for fd. I really need as much sidewall as poss.so i was thinking the 17 with a 275/50 or 295/45 but I think the 18 would look better with a 275/45 18 but that would gve me a shorter sidewall..... Any pics would be great 17 vs 18. All opinons welcome

What the heck would you want that kind of sidewall for?

The tallest you should run would be 275/40/17. That's already almost an inch taller than stock.

Well, you can't put anything that remotely matches up front, so it'll look ridiculous and probably rub over bumps. What are you trying to accomplish with the taller tire that wouldn't/couldn't be accomplished with a wider tire?

is it primarily a track or street car? if its more a street car get a "normal" size tire whether you go 18 or 17 inch, then get a set of 16"drag wheels for when you go to the strip.

if its track only, then just keep the 16's on
