The stock BBS rims from the convertable are a lightweight, cheap and nice looking way to go. They're 5 lug, though, so you'd have to convert if you have 4 lug (do a forum search and/or check archives to see how).

Other than that do a forum search to find all the different aftermarket rims people have used. This has been covered before.

good job this section is about asking educated technical questions and seeking technical help. the original question does neither.

Just in case, your immaturity precedes you and if someone jumped down your throat as you elected to do how would you have felt. I may be wrong, but I would have asked him whether he has a four bolt or five bolt set up and gone from there.Tact is not inclusive to all don't you know !

Okay, here's a technical answer. Lighter wheels are better, but so are large diameter wheels. That's why I mentioned the BBS wheel's. They're super light and yet they're not the smallest diameter available. Once you get too big the weight outstrips the size benefits. I'd think even 18" is too big. Wider rims handle better on dry roads but worse on wet.

Other than that do a forum search and look at pics if you're worried about looks.

My wheels are a great choice. 16" watanabe's, they are super light, 2 piece, and wider than stock, but no too wide so you can still run the stock body. I have them for sale in the wheels section

Hey Mac, remember me? I bought your FMIC. But anyway, I was just wondering if that website is legit? As in you've purchased from them?

18x8 +38 offset 225/40 front
18x9 +38 offset 275/35 rear

17" x 8" +27mm offset (+30 to +25 should work) with 225/45/17 up front
17" x 9" +20mm offset (+15 to +30 will work) with 275/40/17 in back
10.5" wide with +15mm offset in back with a 295 wide tire clears the inner suspension

there is a lot of info on this but heck might as well post it again.

you guys are useless. I don't know why most of you post. If you get all butthurt about a post then take it like a man and don't bitch about it. My first response when I read the thread title: "whatever the F**K he wants, what kind of stupid question is this???" then I read your whiny *** responses and realized what a bunch of pussies you all are.

First question you should ASK YOURSELF:

what am I doing with my car?
NA? Turbo? handling monster? HP monster?

Do I want HUGE rims or WIDE rims?

Do I care about the weight?

DO I care about looks?

If you figure out what you're doing with your car you'll know what kind of tires/rims you need.

You want a big rim? no?
then stay 17" or less.

You wanna have the most contact patch out of all??
then go 8" or more.

Do I have to drive in the rain??
yes? then get good tires or skinnier rims.

Are the roads bad in my area??
yes?? then a low profile tire, larger diameter, aluminum alloy wheel is not for you.
get my drift??

ONLY MAKE A POST IN THE TECHNICAL SECTION WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING TECHNICAL TO TALK ABOUT. Use your head, quit bitching or GTFO and go to the lounge.

EDIT: while Wantanabe's are not my style, those would be decent on the base. PM him and check the for sale sections along with the wheel/audio section.

GET OUT!

Phoenix7 that's a little harsh at the end, but back on topic I would recommend with the 4lug model to look into a set of Sportmax wheels. They have large diameter staggered wheels in 17"& 18" (006, 009, 502, & 962) or you can get a set of sportmax in 15x8 or 16x8 (501 +15 offset or 002 in 0 offset) not the best wheels but they won't break the bank either.

the "Get out" part? I don't think so. There are plenty of sections for this guy to read: wheel tires/suspension section has at least 10 stickies. The non technical section is also available along with the exterior/audio section so he can find finished FCs. asking him to leave the tech section seems reasonable to me.

go with either some 17's or 16's, unless you plan on gettin a body kit, then you might wanna get some 18's. and like chozenfc3s said, sportmax has a good selection that arent really expensive.
