Removing centers of RE Amemiya AW7s
I just received a set of AW7s and the center part of the wheel has flaking paint so I am going to have to repaint them (which I knew when buying - and I don't like the gold colour in any case).
I have never disassembled a multi-piece wheel before so am wondering if it is as simple as unbolting all the (many) bolts and removing. I guess keeping the same orientation and wheel-to-center match when reinstalling may not hurt balancewise - though this may be overkill.

Just FYI (and to bump) I weighed these wheels with Falken Azenis (ST-115s) and was surprised that they the wheels are not as heavy as they are reputed to be. Both the front 17x7.5" with 235/45/17 tires and the rear 17x8.5" with 255/40/17 tires weigh about 47 lbs.
Since the Azenis weigh ~27lbs (according to http://www.falkentire.com/Tires/ST-115-12) this would make them ~20 lbs. Not super lightweight by modern forged wheel standards but not bad.

Usually they should just pop out.
Usually little piece of wood and a rubber mallet at the most or else just push with your hand. From the front side usually or the backside sometimes depending on which side is bigger.Try to look at the part and "read the part".
Also when disassembling multipiece wheels make sure not to rip or loose the gasket that goes in between the wheel and the disc. If there is no gasket well you are lucky because that means gasketmaker time for you when you get things back toghether haha.
