As an all-around great summer tire that is currently on sale for $105/ea: Goodyear Eagle F1 GD-D3s. They were $170/ea until recently, and the set I got last week is only manufactured 6 months ago.

If you want a more all-season tire, I have been happy with my Falken Ziex ZE-512s. They should be under $100/corner.

I would never put less substantial / cheaper tire on my FD than the Falken.

Considering you have a FD, I would recommend Falken Azenis RT-615. You can purchase them here http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_rt615_t.htm for $108 per tire. I would call your local Discount tire and see if they'll price match. That way you don't have to pay for shipping.

RT-615s will not last long. They also aren't as good in rain as the two I mentioned.

It's a nice choice for all-out-performance on the cheap, but for overall street driving I'm not as hot about them.

n rider89,

I would take dgeesaman's advice and get the Goodyear Eagle F1 GD-D3's while they are on sale.

If you have a problem getting Goodyear's, the next best choices for inexpensive tires would be:

Kumho MX <--- My recommendation
Yokohama ES100

Looks like Tirerack is back up to $149 per GS-D3, BUT the old $89 webpage is still active! Click here.
