RE-Amemiya AW7 Wheel inlay stickers

Does anyone know where I can get these? I just had my AW-7 wheels refinished and I think they lost a few of the RE-A decals that go into the rectangular cut outs on the spoke-face of each rim.

Any input would be helpful!

Thanks!

I don't know if this will help you, but before I refinished a set of Volk Racing wheels which had original decals, I took a bunch of photos of them and gave them to a friend who is a Photoshop wiz, he made exact replicas which I took to a place that makes stickers...But in my case I couldn't find original decals as my wheels are from the 90's...

I guess this would be an option for you if you can't find originals...

I can't find originals but I did find a couple companies online that make resin coated domed decals. they might be able to make them for me. I just don't know about the copyright laws. It might be a problem.

Do you mean that the companies will not do it because is a copyright sticker? Or that Re-Amemiya would have an issue with it, as far as I know...old Isami Amemiya could care less that you're bootlegging a pair of his old stickers haha

and why would you care about copyright laws? You username is lawless :P

I actually found a couple companies that would do it but I'm looking at paying a couple hundred just to have a few done. But, 10 costs about 600 bucks. 1000 would only cost about 700 bucks. The initial programing is what costs the most.

I'll try getting in contact with companies again. They're out of Dallas and I'm in Miami for work right now.

I also would not mind supporting my share of the costs as I'm looking to get this done one way or another

I'm looking into a solution for these as well. I have a full set that I removed without damage when I sent my wheels off to be coated, but I want to update the logos with something more then a sticker or vinyl.

Will let you guys know if I can get something put together.

All 4 of my wheels have them but I'm about to send them off within the next few weeks to be converted into 18x10s. And I might end up doing a color change on them. If I'm not able to find replacement stickers that look original, then I was thinking of possibly getting the RE logo milled into the blank spot for the sticker.

something like 5zigen ended up doing on their FN01r-C wheels:

What do guys think about having a military coin company doing up a slightly different version? I've been considering it. Will they be too heavy?

Does anyone know where to find lips for these wheels?

i was wondering about finding someone with a CNC router that could do them in something like 3/16th plastic. a former friend's dad had one and he always had 2-color plastic stuff... i think it was usually white on one side, another color on the other and they would test and play with routing out the color so you had recessed white text/pattern with a colored border... then just use double sided tape to attach them to the wheels...

hell, if those us with ideas want to try to get a prototype, then we all have options!

I like the two tone plastic idea. It sounds cheap and easily changed to taste.

The company in the link looks capable of making an improved replica insert.

so a little searching around... and looks like i could use "Blank Engraving Plates" as the raw material for my idea...

something like this:
Custom Engraved Plastic Name Plates from Seton.com, Stock items ship TODAY, Custom ships FAST! | Seton

i might go through the steps on that site to get a few made to see how they come out and looks like it would be about $50 for a set of 4, but dont know if they can do the RE logo or just English text... just need to measure the size of the sticker on the wheels

or another location to get the raw materials if i can find a router/engraver to cut with... (i used mcmaster recently for something else, so might stick with them to get the stuff)

I recently acquired a set of re amemiya wheels and have the same issue of needing the logos. I am also curious what the stock center caps look like as I only have 2.

If someone at any point comes up with exact replica's, I will buy a set, PM me. Don't really care about the price as long as they're perfect.

I also need these as mine have fallen off. Why are these so hard to get? Has anyone tried contacting RE Amemiya to see if they can produce them?

... so after several months of waiting... finally got my wheels back today from being rebarrelled and powder coated... and put the new stickers on the wheels... and though not in the pics, it does look like I managed to pick out the correct color to match the center caps I have...
