Race suspension

Thought I should share this. The manufacturer deserves a plug after the difference they made to my car.

I had Aragosta and they were really good. Apparently rated better than Ohlins by some Jap magazine.

But I upgraded to SPAX last year and they were OK but did not have sufficient blow off to handle high speed bumps and kerbs.

SPAX revalved them with hi speed bump blow off and they are now UNBELIEVABLE.

The adjustable bump and rebound works really well. Since the SPAX were revalved the car has been amazing and they have really helped us.

As an example I did the fastest lap ever by any production bodied car EVER at Winton Motor Raceway in Australia indepently timed by Natsoft - Australia's top level timing company.

Offical timing here: http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/re...01/2012.WIN.S1

I was so happy i even listed them as the entrant but I paid all the bills. It was my way of saying "thanks"

In the recent Kumho Tyres Wakefield 300 Klm race in constant rain my car set the fastest lap of the race in the unbelievably bad conditions against high spec World Time Attack GTR's and Evo's with AWD on simliar tyres IN THE WET.

Other RWD cars such as 700HP M3 DTM cars were obliterated by my car and the AWD cars in the VERY wet conditions. Why? One word. SPAX. Takes 5 seconds to adjust each shock without jacking the car up. Just amazing shocks.

To be televised on SPEED channel soon. Will put up link later.

Here is the link to the natsoft official timing fo the 300 Klm race. Natsoft is timing Formula 1 this wekend at Melbourne and is official timing for all major races in Oz.

We finished 4th outright but incurred a 45 second penalty for alledgedly passing a lapped car under safety car conditions (which we are appealling) so we might end up 3rd outright and most importantly first 2WD car home. That MX5 Turbo has 700nm of torque and was on super soft monsoon tyres and is fastest MX5 in Oz.

Most importantly look at the fastest lap table. We set fastest lap IN THE WET RACE against World Time Attack AWD Evos and GTR.

You wait until you see the in car videos of the water. So bad you cannot see at 200 KPH.

For any RWD or 2WD car to be any where near the AWD cars was amazing but to set the fastest lap was testimony to the SPAX

It's also super fast and easier to drive in the dry with the newly valved SPAX.

I love em. In Australia and New Zealand this is the supplier.

Greg Nolan has over 35 years experience advising soem top level race teams on suspension and when you buy SPAX he is only a phone call away form any track. You say "its doing this at turn x at XYZ track" and he says "do this and do that to the bump or rebound".

Not just great shocks, incredible track side support.

That's great to hear. I'm not sure there's much of a U.S. presence for SPAX, maybe there should be.

2012 Kumho Tyres Wakefield 300 and it's WET for 300 klms

It was hard to get traction against the AWD Evo's and 650HP GTR but we still did the fastest lap of race.

Thank you Mr SPAX!
