Quick Tripoint swaybar question

I sent a request through their website for pricing for the Tripoint front and rear swaybars but haven't gotten a response yet. Anyone know what they cost new?

Thanks!

It's changed some over the years. Seems I heard from someone the fronts are about $600ish now? I can't be certain though.

Wow that's a bit more than I expected, but you get what you pay for I guess. Thanks DamonB

I could be completely wrong. Call them and ask.

Did that include the braces or just the bar and the endlinks?

Yeah, I should have just called in the first place, but it was late and I just submitted a web form request on the website.

Note also that the front is the modular style bar (splined torsion bar, separate end links with 5 holes for link attachment) and the rear is a tubular bar (I think -- might be solid) with 2 holes for link attachment.

I believe they also made some modular rear bars, but there isn't much demand and so you would need to pay a lot to get a modular rear bar, if you could get one at all (from Tri-Point). I have the front bar with a 0.188" wall-thickness torsion bar paired with the stock 93 rear bar on my car. I bought a rear bar, too, but I haven't decided if I am going to install it yet.

I think I paid about $500 (roughly -- might have been $475) for the front bar, complete with urethane bushings. The bronze bushings and mount reinforcement stuff is extra. See this page for pics of the bar, and separate bronze bushings/supports:

The one piece standard bars are $399 front/rear together I think. The modular front bar is about $600 as I just ordered one. Certainly expensive but they are tunable. The shop that makes the bars has a broken CNC lathe so the front bars won't be shipped for a minimum of 2 weeks.

I did the .188" tubing with bronze bushings as well.

The front bar is great. I forget what I paid. The rear bar is RB bar. I needed it because without it I was understeering even after adjusting the front bar.

You mean additional torsion bars? Seems like you can get them from Stock Car Products for under a $100. The website only lists one length but IIRC my catalog correctly they will give you any length <48" for the same price. Buy the bars from a dirt track or stock car supply place; they'll be cheaper.

The only things actually "custom" on the Tripoint bar are aluminum arms that fit onto the torsion bar and the hardware to bolt up to the suspension. The bar diameter and spline configuration is pretty standard.
