Quick question regarding offset. I need answer by tomorrow...PLEASE

Will these specs work on a FD?

18x9, +51 offset (back space 6.75")
18x10, +57 offset (back space 7.5")

Thanks,
Liem.

Wow, you actually found wheels with too HIGH of an offset, LOL. The fronts will be great, you could run 5-6mm spacers at the rears, otherwise you'll have a problem clearing the trailing arms.

You will want to make sure the wheels have a 5/114.3 bolt pattern and that they have at least a 67.1 mm centerbore. You will then want to get some hubcentering rings to match the centerbore to 67.1 mm.

Ideal tire sizes would be 255/35 up front, 275/35 or 285/30 at the rear.

Thanks Rynberg.

Here is what I'm going to pick up tomorrow

Hopefully some aftermarket trailing arms might do the trick, otherwise, the spacers will have to do. As far as centerbore, I would have to check.

Thanks,
Liem.

No, you'll almost certainly need the spacers, even with aftermarket trailing arms.

I agree that the rear wheels have an offset that is a bit higher than the usual, but if the backspacing is really 7.5", they might fit without spacers. By "fit" I mean "not rub the trailing arm". My 18x10" CCWs have 7.5" backspacing and they clear the stock trailing arms just fine (never rubbed).

At first I thought the backspacing and offset of those wheels seemed odd, but I see that they don't have much "edge" on the rim, so the numbers do make sense. That would make them somewhat more likely to rub the trailing arms than my CCWs (since the diameter of the 7.5"-backspaced part is smaller in diameter), but I would still guess that they will fit.

Thanks Max.

I'm going to see they'll fit tomorrow since the 5 hour round trip to pick them up has gotten the best of me.
