i've heard that they are very inconsistant with spring rates. there have been reports of a 50lb.in difference between two of the 'same' springs.
just thought i'd add to the fire

Ouch. That sucks. I've heard of others having problems with JIC under hard tracking conditions. Not to mention I've heard of their customer service very lacking also. Just in that thread alone is enough feedback for me never to even look into investing in a JIC part.

I have a bit of experience with JIC when I had my 240SX while ago. I didn't have their coilovers but I remeber I didn't like their customer service. It's quite scary how the strut snaps like that, and it's not the only one.

It never really was high-end stuff in japan. For some reason, they got a good reputation in America for a minute, but JIC was always considered pretty crappy in Japan.

I had a set of FLTA2s on my car for awhile...the springrates were way too stiff, but I never had a problem with the suspension...I never asked for any kind of customer service, though, either.

I have these on my FC, no complaints at all, no cracks, great spring rates for the track.

wow that is really disappointing. I have heard nothing but great things about the flta2's to the point where i was really considering getting some. Now, not a chance in hell. And for them not to stand behind their product after something like that, no way ever....ever. I'll tell everyone about that too. They are jerks for not even standing behind their product enough to just replace one coil over. I would have no confidence in that suspension after something like that. Unbelievable, i no longer like jic as a company. I guess not standing behind your product is all it takes for me to black list someone. How bout the rest of you?

Yeah, but the guy above you has been given the run around by Endless USA. They keep sending him the wrong parts.

Ive used JICs on my FC for about a year, they are still on but the car isnt driveable at the moment. Before that they were on tony angelos drift FC from drift alliance. He really beat on them, and I know chris from drift alliance also had them on his FC, also beat them to death. So they are not bad for the average person, I never had any problems. However during my current build up Ill be going with a setup alittle more serious.

Just out of curiosity, is it just the JIC coilovers that have this problem? Is there any other products that failed as bad? And is there any parts for other cars that failed this bad?
