Problem installing coilovers

hey guys , question for you all. i just put some coilovers in my car, they bolted in no problem, got the car on the ground, but when i took it for a spin i noticed they were VERY noisey. got out and opened the hatch, only to find that the rod from the strut had COME UP completely thru the shock tower and into my car? it did this on all 4 corners. am i supposed to put the stock black rubber peices that used to be on top of the strut tower, under the strut tower to stop them from coming thru? fyi they came with their own pillowball mounts so im' not using any stock hardware. thanks in advance

How in god's name did they do that? Those rods are supposed to be bolted straight to the mounts.

Don't tell me you didn't bolt them on?...

thats what im saying. 99/100 coilovers are simply bolt in, adjust the shock length, drive to alignment shop. no assembly required.

You're missing a part someplace that the top of the shock shaft should seat against to prevent it from moving upward.
