Powder coating question
I like to get a set of my wheels powder coated. The guy at the coating place told me in order to get a good bond between the wheel and the coatings. The wheels will need to be sand blasted, primed, color coat, then clear coated. Is the primer realy needed for powder coating? I thought it was only for painting that you need to prime.
Is this person trying to sell me another service that I don't need?

Go to another shop. Look up "powder coating" in your local yellow pages.
My wheels: $45 each to bead blast and straighten, including one cracked wheel being filled in. $50 each to powder coat.
I don't know about the entire process, but if the price is more than $100 per wheel from start to finish, get another shop to do it. Especially if none of them are bent or cracked.
Good luck,
