I’ve been following this thread for a while and I just wanna say WOW there are some really nice cars out there.
Just need to ask a question to all you fitment gurus out there, I am currently about to purchase a brand new set of VS-XX in 18’s and I just want to make sure these will fit before I fork out the cash.
Ok I have rolled front and read fenders/ guards, with a minor flare on the rear about 7 mm(quarter inch, which just happen when I rolled the guards) I’d prefer minimal flare/ pulling as possible. I don’t mind doing a little in the rear if needed, also I want the maximum lip/ dish in the rear as possible.Adjustable coil overs. I have done a fair bit of research and this is what I came up with
On the front I was going to get 9.5 +28 (R Disc) with my calculations the rim will sit flush with the guard? On the rear I was tossing up between the 10.5 + 26(O Disc) or the 10.5 +14 which I prefer because of bigger lip, will I get away with these . with out too much poke???
What do You guys think??
Also what tyre size do you recommend, I want as wide as possible with as minimal stretch.I was Thinking F 235/35 or 245/35 and R 255/35 or 265/35 ??? Will these work ?? Profile ok?
Sorry for all the questions thought I'd ask here first seeming as most of you actually know what you talking about lol
Any Help or light you can shed will be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers Alfie

10.5 +14 with 265/35 should work well. Tire should be almost perfectly flush. I ran 18 x 10.5 +12 with 265/35 with no rubbing issues at all. Fenders need to be rolled of course as it is going to be flush. It will look great!

I just went to a 295/30 on the same wheels with an aggressive pull. Needed the traction.

That's exactly what I'm running on my FD.
Volk TE37s - 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear +40 offset all around..

You shouldn't need to roll the guards if you get a proper alignment and run the right sized tyres. I've got 235/40/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the rear (AD08s)

If I had a choice I would go for a slightly lower offset for a more aggressive fitment but I'm happy enough with the current look and feel. they're the wheels I had on my previous car and had trouble selling them, which is why they're now on the FD.

8.5/9.5 +40? guess that's "proper" wheel sizes or something...

Also on the 9.5+28, you can run that but its not going to be flush especially if you lower it. 235/35 is almost impossible to find so size down to a 225/40 and get the same look. I'm running weak sauce 9.5+22 front rolled flat but not paper thin. fits fine with a little poke and almost no camber (soon to change).

Not everybody is into the hella flush and stretched and super low offset look. Some of us do prefer a more reasonable and useable offset and size. If you tried doing any kind of racing with a 225/35 on a 10.5 wheel with 3.5* of camber you would never have traction and you'd probably blow the tire off the bead of the rim the first real bump you hit. Just saying.

"Your car is too low when,..." you need a 1x6 to get up a one inch lip. Yes I know the driveway is at an angle.....still too low for my tastes. It would look really nice with a street stance of -.5 rear camber and normal ride height. But to each his/her own.

Has anyone tried a 18 front/19rear similar to what vettes do?
