18X7.5 +48mm offset with 225 40 18 tires.

So adding a spacer brings down offset? now I get you
is a 10mm spacer safe on stock studs?

Nope. 5mm is as far as you can go for hub centric slip on spacers.
You'll need longer studs to run up to 15~20mm slip ons.
You can get 15mm~25mm~50mm BOLT ON spacers.

and make sure the back of the rims can clear the studs on the 15mm spacers.
