Pillow ball question im confused

Ok... Im am very angry right now, because you know how when you get brand new pillow ***** they are not supposed to move much right? well it seems like when I installed the, so far 2 of them are a lot easier to move then they were before which pisses me off!!!

They almost feel used, is this normal???? they move fairly easily and idk if this is normal or not

I wouldn't obsess over it. If you bought them new from mazda in the bag, then I would think they're fine. They have to move a little bit

there's spherical moving and there's slop. there is nothing wrong w a bearing that moves easily provided it does not have slop. if, by pulling and pushing on the connected link you feel movement there is a problem. if it just allows the link to change angles easily there is no problem. i am assuming the bearing was pressed all the way and the C clip is in place.

Do take care that pillowballs can only be pushed from one direction. If you push it from the wrong side you can push the pillowball apart (I know, my own $60 mistake).

If by loose you're noting the force required to pivot the ball around is different, don't worry about it. Some will feel tighter than others. It's actual play in the joint that is a problem.

Oh!! thanks that makes me feel so much better! I was SO mad I felt like punching somebody!! Well there was only 1 pillowball that seemed to have more movement then the others (not sloppy, just more movement), and I did install all 6 correctly, because all of the snap rings are in, with the flat part on the snap ring side. Thanks!
