Dan, the bra is on because I was tired of getting those damn paint chips and having to fill them in with touch-up paint. I was curious what others do in this situation? What, me speed??

18,8 fronts with 235/40 and 18,9 rears with 265/35 T1's. Also have Koni yellows and H&R springs. Makes for a sweet ride and great handling.

I think the big question is, how much? I like the look of those rims and might be interested in some 17 inchers...

I'm not sure if you know Rishie. He is ARD T2 on the forum and is primarily in the suspension/wheels forum. I did some extensive research with him. He gave me a sweet deal and will work with you whatever your budget is. Give him a PM and see what you can work out. Happy shopping.

well ive herd of people getting dust or dirt under the bra and the bra moves a little going down the road, thus making your car look like it just got sanded. I have seen in person a car that had a bra on it for a while and it looked nasty. The paint on the outside faded and the paint on the inside still looked new, well all but the scratches and rubbing marks.

Dan; so have you seen folks with their front ends pok marked with stone chips without a bra. Granted, I agree the car looks better without the bra. I have removed the bra periodically and washed and waxed the front end so I won't get that paint fade prior to putting the bra back on. I just find with a car that low, those stone chips multiply and look like @**% after awhile. Mazda did not offer a "good" factory paint job from the outset, and paint chipping seems to be a chronic irritating problem.

you can get the front coated with 3m's armourfend. its a thin transparent piece of adhesive plastic that does a great job of keeping the nose and front end from getting pock marked. you can't even really notice its on there. worked wonders on my bmw!

i suggest you get the nose painted first though. its gotta be a bitch to remove afterwards...

Didn't we just cover this the post before his/her??

Wow, I am starting to spend a lot of time on this forum...I am beginning to switch from "polite, learning newb" form TO "edgey, low tolerance for people without common sense' form.
