I'm only bringing in

17x9 +45

18x9.5 +45

Reason for this is ITS EXPENSIVE TO FULFILL MINIMUM ORDERS. 40 OF EACH SIZE/OFFSET.

I'm down to do more, TAKES 4 MONTHS AND A SUCCESFUL GROUP BUY.

Thanks, Rishie

Thumbs up

I'll buy a set of 17 x 9 right now, if they clear the BBK from Stoptech.

Those are HOT. If I didn't already have my black track wheels, I'd think about a set of those. They'd look great on red, montego blue, and white FD's. I only like black on silver for the track.

What 17" rims will clear BBKs. What about the Racing Brake BBK?

I'm looking for a lightweight 17" wheel that will certainly clear most BBKs. Is this just a matter of offset or is the inner diameter of the wheel that's causing the problem.

How much heavier is the 18" RPF1s vs. the 17"?

Sorry for the tread hijack, but I'm looking to buy RPF1s but if they don't fit BBKs, I'm going to have to reconsider.

We test fitted the

17x9 +45 RPF1 with

1. Racingbrake
2. Stoptech

NO WORKIE WITH EITHER.

The issue is where the drop center is on the inside of the barrel closest to the wheel spoke. It interferes with the caliper there. not common on all wheels, so yes some 17's can clear.

I'd just get the 18". You're talking maybe a pound, pound and a half difference that may even be offset by the tire weight. They're already light wheels.

You might be able to get 285/30/18's all around on them, depending on the brand's actual width, and will be able to get at LEAST a 255, 265, 275/35/18 on there.

The best you're really going to do w/ the 17x9" is 255, 265/40/17.

Did you take any pics of the 18x9.5 with the BBK? I fear clearance issues in the same place with the 18x9.5. Mine are really close to the stock calipers.

I went with 18x8.5 for the front to accomodate a BBK. The offset (which I can't remember) puts the wheel a little far out.. I'm going to have to pull my fenders to properly fit the 255s. But at least the spokes are 1-2 inches from the stocker calipers, where the 18x9.5 spokes are really close.

I'll be installing my pettit bbk and see how both wheels fit.

It's my understanding that the AP 5200 caliper based BBKs have alot more clearance than ST or RB stuff. FWIW. The calipers are more compact.

I already have the Pettit BBK (owtlawz calipers)

So I'll post some pics of how both my wheels fit them, 18x9.5 and 18x8.5... I'll also get the offset number of the 8.5... I am getting my fenders rolled next Tuesday to accomodate those front wheels/tires though =(

I have the 18x9.5 +45 RPF1 and the AP Racing 13" BBK and have no clearance issue on street or track.

Others have used this setup with StopTech with no issues.

I am running 265/35/18 tires front and back. I did not roll the front or rear fenders. With RSR Race springs I had no issue on the street but at the track I have managed to destroy the fender liner (track with lots of elevation changes). I would recommend rolling the fender if tracking the car with 265 or larger tires. I am upgrading to stiffer springs to keep the tires off the fender liners.

Would 17x8.5 +40 in the front clear a BBK?

I found pics of the 18 x 9.5 +45 w/ Racing Brake Kit. 285/30/18 tires all around.
