Question noisy new brakes?

Tried to search but couldn't find anything.

I just installed new brake pads and it sounds like one of them is dragging. It isn't dragging really bad, but it is obnoxious. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it go away?

Thanks for any help.

Brian

did you put anti squeel grease on the shims when you put the new pads in?

No, the rotors looked pretty good so I didn't bother having them turned.

It sonds like it drags when I turn to the right, but if I turn to the left it will quit.

I had the same thing after replacing my pads. Except that it sounded like it was only dragging in a straight line because when I turned the wheel either way it got noticeably quieter... and i didn't use any kind of lube when I reapplied the shims and pads.

The noise has dissapeared now though... I guess something just settled or wore down enough to not make a noise. (I should still check it out though. I know)
