New wheels question

I just recently bought new Enkei RP02-j 235/45/17 in the front and 275/40/17 in the rear. After putting the new wheels on, the car seems to be a 1/2 inch higher off the ground. My question is, will the car suspension settle and the car eventually sink back to it's original height after driving it for some time? Thanks for responding.

It's because the car IS a 1/2-inch higher off the ground -- actually about 5/8 of an inch. 275/40 17 tires are 5/8" or so taller in diameter than the stock wheel+tire diameter.

For that matter, 235/45 17s are about 1/4" taller than stock.

That's the price you pay for running wide 17" tires....

Yes, putting on a set of lowering springs will lower the body back down, however, someone else here will have to vouche for which one's will rub or not.

I bought them at discount tire in Austin. The wheels are 17x9 in the rear 17x8 in the front, no rubbing.

RP01 are discontinued. You can get RP02J now. Very similar, better centercap. We have these available.
