17x9.5 -7 and 18x10.5 -11.
Sexy Style front fenders (25mm?) and Origin rears (50mm).
Tyres are 215/45/17 and 245/40/18.

previously ran 235/40/17 up front when i had the TE37s on my car, but i felt like it was actually TOO much grip (those of you who know, know. (Higher level drifting is actually 4 wheels with varying levels of slip angle, not just the rear 2 like your buddies fishtailing around WalMart at 2am).

Also, with the 235s up front I could not get to full lock b/c the tyres were hitting the swaybar. That was with 17x9.5 +2. If i went with less offset i would not have fit the tyres under the fenders without a lot more camber. As it is, its about -2.5/-1.5 F/R camber.

siiiiiick. Is that a RB25 sitting next to the FC? and if you can afford those rims and those bad *** seats you better be putting in a 20B in that ride.

No, that's an SR20 on the ground.

The engine going in the car is a 13B-RE, the OTHER Cosmo motor.

It's nice to see some non-lame offsets on an FC for once on here.

Dorifto PG....holy ***** that is some nice lip you got there man. You won't have to have anybody crying "You sank my battleship" with those rims man! "Big Bronze Rim" from Freshalloy told me you converted over to an FC. Glad to see you made it over to the Maz camp. Car is looking good man. Can't wait to see how it turns out. BTW.....this is "Fsae_Alum" from over on Freshalloy. I set up and led the SR radiator test with Big Bronze Rim and Over Center (Kevin from C&R). Again...welcome to the Maz camp and keep up the good work man!

RX7s blow 240s out of the ******* water! The chassis is so stiff and well balanced. And LIGHT!!!! I will bet $100 that soaking wet with 5+ gals of fuel this car will weigh 2400 lbs.

Yeah man, as for drifting 7s its weird cause of the polar moments and the center of mass. If you drive like I do, you don't need much tyre up front on a 7. since the center of mass is well behind the front axle, as the rear rotates out, the front actually rotates backward, so too much front grip will cause you to spin, as weird as that ******* sounds! With a smaller tyre a. you can get more steering angle, and b. you can alleviate what i will call the "front grip spin conundrum".

Anyways, yea cool. You have a 7, too? I have 3 right now! WTF. 1 shell, 1 partial, and this car. I need to slim down my herd.

What were we talking about? Rims?

Oh yeah.

Its 4.25 inches of lip in the FRONT (let that sink in for a little bit) ....and 5.5 inches in the rear.

I can see how running less grip in the front would help slide the car. I recently picked up a FC and took it out to a drift event last sunday. The turn we were doing was a banked turn, i entered at the top of 2nd turn in and clutch kick it. The rear of the car would slide out nicely but once it started sliding and i started counter steering the front would swing back and want to straighten the car. At first i thought it might be the cause of my DTSS but after reading your post it was probably because i was running really sticky tires all day haha. I was running azienas all around. Have you drifted w/ the DTSS and with them eliminated? Also any other tips/tricks you have for drifting the FC? Also what kind of tires do you recommend running?

595 - Drift Competition's?

Thats one hell of a stretch. How are those tires compaired to the other ones youve tried out? Im looking for some tires right now for my 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 rims. I was looking into those exact same tires since their fairly cheap. I was thinking about running 225/45/18 front and 235/45/18 rear.

I was thinking about getting some of those federals as well...
how do you like them lindsay? (have you driven on them yet?).

and btw^^^ I hope you mis-typed that, because 225/45R18 and 235/45R18 are way to big diameter for FC's....

Actually i wasnt thinking to much about that haha. What would be a nice tire size for the rim sizes i have? I would need to run stretched tires to make it fit the fronts are +30 and the rears are +25.
