I always thought the name was more accurate as caststar.

lolz....

You know how loosely a term "forged" has become. It's not like the old days where there was pretty much just one form of forging and the term "billet forged centers" was the only thing synonymous with "forged wheels".

To be technical by definition they are forging the majority of the rim section. It appears they are implementing the same technology as Enkei does in the M.A.T. process when making the RPF1.

These are just as forged as any of the GT Volk Racing Series wheels, Work VS Series, and shoot almost any multipiece wheel from Japan. Most all of them have cast centers and forged barrels.

Regardless of the name I see an INCREDIBLE VALUE in this wheel. I can only see the RPF1 to be in close competition.

What's the difference?

1. Custom Offset, 1mm variable.
2. If raw materials in stock should take one month for delivery
3. Up to 12"
4. Multiple Finishes available
5. 10" WIDER concave goodness.

Similar pricing to the Enkei Racing Series also. These could be called "caststars" "dopestars" it wouldn't matter, THE VALUE IS UNDENIABLE.

These sell for $1200 to $1300 for a set of 18's, sooo cheap.

The flow forming process. They detail their technology and testing standards on their website, they are quite public about them.

those look like high profile (high disk) wheels, and you mentioned low offsets available. im running 18x9 +/- 0 and 18x10.5 -26 right now, what differences can you tell me about the concavity? will there be a lip such as the Work XD9 or will the wheel spokes begin from the outter most part and convcave in to achieve such low offsets?

Nothing changes on these. This wheel has no lip.

The lower the offset the higher the disk. The higher the offset, the lower the disk.

There are only 2 faces, much like the TE37.

one that's less concave and one that's more concave.

MORE CONCAVE = 10" wide or greater.

Pretty much all the cars up top of less than 10" up front, only the EVO has 10" all around.

these offsets can't go as low as yours either.

Nice looking, great new option.

Doesn't look like the offsets are available to do the 18x10"/285/30/18 front, but there are plenty of options for really nice staggered setups, including 19" if you are so inclined.

APOLOGIES FOR THE CAPS, HAVE TO EMPHASIZE.

ACTUALLY THAT'S IN MY ORIGINAL POST.

I CAN HAVE THAT MADE SPECIAL, BUT CENTERCAP PROBABLY WON'T WORK.

Already spoke to them.

Let's make it 5 sets for the 18x10 +50. I really want 10, but I think I can pull of 5 set order to make it.

I need to go through some old posts and find some unsuccesful threads where we were trying to build that setup.

18x10 +50 285/30/18 Goodness.

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Help Please. Up to 12 rims wanted

I am interested in these as well as the PF01's. I was thinking 10.5" +15 all round for the 2010 new PF01's

I will be running
FRONT: 270 65 18 front slicks Michelin says I need 9.5 to 11.5"
REAR: 270 68 18 rear slicks Michelin says I need 10.5 to 12"
OR
REAR 300 65 18 rear slicks Michelin says I need 11.5 to 12.5"

Monster 6 piston AP Racing Calipers with 365mm 2 piece rotors
Smallish 4 piston AP calipers with 330mm 2 piece rotor discs rear front

What are my options with a widebody for the Forgestar F14's? please?

What would you do?

Hell yea! Mine just showed up yesterday. Man I can't believe how light these things are. I bought the staggered set-up (18x9.5 - 19x11). The front offset looks perfect. The rear came with 2 spacers for my pettit flares. I'm leaning towards doing a stretched wheel in the back so I may need to get a bigger spacer so I can push the wheel even with my flares. Right now it hard to tell since my car is on jack stands while I do all the body work and it still has the factory -negative camber. Can't wait to put tires on them.

Thanks for such a great deal Rishie.

Hi Rishie... above your pricing is $1600/set of 18's.

$1200 makes this much more attactive.

Well that's the retail price and honestly what these should sell for. At $1200.00 this is a steal.

I think prices might go up pretty soon due to popularity. This was just a promotional deal from Forgestar to get some deep penetration.

Thanks,
Rishie

Yea! I'm getting ready to buy a camera so I can take lots of project pics. I've used my sisters camera up until recently but she keeps bitching at me everytime I try to borrow her Cannon Digital SLR. I'm trying to document all my fabrication as I build the car. I got better things to do with my money than buying a freaking camera but, I have no choice.
